01 / THE TECHNOLOGY

Rethinking what keeps us aloft.

Instead of relying on helium or hydrogen, VauxAero is investigating a new approach to buoyant flight: a lightweight structure enclosing air at reduced pressure.

01

Vacuum buoyancy

Reducing the air pressure inside a sealed volume creates a buoyancy opportunity without lifting gases. Achieving a net-positive-lift structure is the central engineering challenge.

02

Geodesic architecture

Our concept uses nested geodesic structures, radial members and a lightweight external skin to resist atmospheric loading.

03

Controllable altitude

Progressive evacuation and onboard pressure management are being explored to adjust buoyancy and access favourable winds.

02 / WHERE IT COULD MATTER

Persistence opens new possibilities.

From near-space infrastructure to lower-impact aviation, we are exploring missions where endurance and efficient flight matter most.
